Celina Teague is a British contemporary artist whose vibrant, symbol-laden paintings explore themes of identity, politics, and media saturation in the digital age. Drawing from current events, activism, and environmental concerns, Teague uses bold color and intricate patterns to reflect the emotional chaos and contradictions of our time.
In For Better Or For Worse (2013), Teague presents a striking visual field that juxtaposes clarity with overload, suggesting both commitment and uncertainty. Like much of her work, it reflects the artist’s deep engagement with the narratives we construct—through relationships, culture, and social media—and how these stories are mediated, distorted, or dissolved.
Teague has exhibited widely in the UK and internationally, including solo shows at Kristin Hjellegjerde Gallery in London and group shows at institutions such as the Royal Academy of Arts. Her works are part of numerous private collections in Europe and the United States.
